Say goodbye to the old-style light bulb.

Starting Wednesday, the last of the federal government’s new lighting standards take effect. That means the sort of general-service light bulb we’ve used for more than a century can no longer be made in or imported into the United States.

Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.

        Did you miss that.

The bill was passed in 2007, President was GW Bush.

Are you calling him a tree hugging hippie?

Even if every Democrat voted for it in the Senate and House, had he vetoed it, it would NOT have become law, because that would have fallen far short of the 2/3rds margin needed to override a veto.

Blame your own party for this.

Thank you tree hugging hippies. You already screwed us with auto AC gas that we have to pay hundreds of dollars more now you’re screwing us over with these bulbs. BTW I have already stacked up my bulbs so I'll never have to buy those stupid things.
