The Junior League of Bell County’s Kids in the Kitchen hosted a variety of health events for children in conjunction with the seventh annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K and 10K Run/Walk and Kids’ 1K Fun Run on March 16 benefiting McLane Children’s Hospital Scott & White. JLBC race day activities included healthy food demonstrations, an obstacle course challenge, bounce houses, crafts and temporary tattoo stations, and literature for parents focusing on healthy eating tips and lifestyle choices. More than 100 children participated in the KITK activities provided by the JLBC. Brick City Martial Arts of Temple and Temple Jazzercise also provided several demonstrations for the race attendees.
