Soul Food Feast scheduled for today

A Soul Food Feast, sponsored by the AJ Reed Gospel Ensemble, begins at 10:30 a.m. today at Tabernacle of Praise, 348 S. 40th St., Killeen.

Food will be available for pickup or eat-in until it’s gone.

True Deliverance plans building fundraiser

True Deliverance Ministries is having a building fundraiser at 5 p.m. today at 508 Hall Ave., Killeen.

East Side Baptist to have rally, fellowship

A “My Hope America” rally for celebration and encouragement will take place at 6 p.m. today at East Side Baptist Church in Killeen.

The event, which features a video from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, will include music from the Church of Skyline Worship Band and a message from Ken Cavey, pastor of Memorial Baptist Church of Killeen.

A time of fellowship will follow in the fellowship hall.

The church is at 500 N. W.S. Young Drive in Killeen.

Austin spiritual center set to meet today

The Eckankar Spiritual Center of Austin will meet from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. today at the Killeen Community Center, room 110, 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd.

The public is invited to share their spiritual experiences or to listen to others.

‘Daddy Day’ planned at Killeen Civic Center

Men of Unity presents “In the Spirit of Giving” from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, 3601 S. W.S. Young Drive.

Men of Unity, the Killeen Independent School District and the city of Killeen are hosting “Daddy Day,” a free event designed to educate fathers who have children in Killeen ISD.

There will be breakout session filled with information on making sense of your finances, volunteering in the community, access to your child’s grades, to name a few, along with featured guest speaker Neal Jeffery.

Two churches to offer financial planning class

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University will be offered at two Killeen churches next month.

First United Methodist Church, at 3501 E. Elms Road, will offer the classes beginning Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.

‘Living Proof’ simulcast planned for Sept. 14

Beth Moore “Living Proof” simulcast with worship leader Travis Cottrell will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at First Baptist Church Killeen, 3310 S. W.S. Young Drive.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Ladies in Prayer Station scheduled for Sept. 7

Ladies in Prayer Station will be held at the Holy Temple Church of our Lord Jesus Apostolic Church, 1110 Bundrant Drive in Killeen on Sept. 7, beginning at 9 a.m. For more information, call 254-628-8020.

Bible study for adults kicks off Sept. 9

The Temple-Belton Community Bible Study adult evening class is registering members for a 30-week study of Romans.

This is an interdenominational Bible study for men and women of all backgrounds who are interested in an in-depth weekly study of God’s Word.

Beginning Sept. 9, the class will meet weekly from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Mondays in the small sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Belton, Sixth and Main Sts.
