Excellent Covenant Powerhouse Ministries will offer drive-thru prayer in the church’s parking lot today from 10 a.m. to noon.

The drive-thru prayer will offer the public an opportunity to bring prayer requests to the church’s prayer team who will greet you warmly and pray with you from the convenience of your car.

The team will offer intercessory prayer to all who drive into the lot.

Killeen church offers free breakfast today

Second Street Baptist Church offers free breakfast once a month in the church’s fellowship hall, 1602 N. Second St., Killeen.

Cove church offers hot lunch today

Hot lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Five Loaves and Two Fishes Outreach building, Five Hills Assembly of God.

Meals are provided for anyone in need and they will receive a bag of groceries to take home.

Church to celebrate anniversary Sunday

The Anderson Chapel A.M.E. Church will celebrate its 53rd church anniversary on Sunday at 10:45 a.m.

In addition, the church will recognize the 230th anniversary of the African Methodist Episcopal Church around the world. It is the oldest African American institution in the United States. It was founded by a former slave, Bishop Richard Allen, who was recognized by the U.S. Postal Service on Feb. 2 with the release of a stamp.

The Rev. Rodrecus M. Johnson Jr. is the senior pastor.

The community is invited to worship and join in this celebration with the congregation.

Pidcoke Church group to cater Valentine’s Dinner

The Pidcoke United Methodist Church Men’s Group will cater the Valentine’s Dinner on Sunday in the Fellowship Hall.

Cost is $30 per couple and is a communitywide event.

Pidcoke UMC is on Farm-to-Market North 116, halfway between Copperas Cove and Gatesville.

Killeen Healing Rooms are open today

The Killeen Healing Rooms are open today from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road in Killeen.

The group’s commission is based on Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow those that believe ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Prayer teams will be available to seek healing in the name of Jesus Christ.

Church group to host meeting Sunday

The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Joseph Catholic Church will host its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Parish Activity Center.

Church group to host Mardi Gras celebration

Knights of Columbus, Thomas P. Shields Assembly 2370 will have a Mardi Gras Dinner and Celebration at 6 p.m. Feb. 18 at the St. Paul Chong Hasang Parish Center, 2412 Stillhouse Lake Road in Harker Heights (next to the church).

The menu will have sausage and chicken gumbo, cajun baked chicken, fried catfish, etouffe sauce, 3 bean salad, cornbread mini muffins, fried okra, king cake, beer, wine, coffee, tea, and lemonade. There will be a band and dancing. There will be prizes for best costume.

Cove church group plans Polish dinner Feb. 18

Knights of Columbus is having its annual Polish dinner Feb. 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall on 6830 Farm-to-Market 2657 in Copperas Cove.

Heights church to host empowerment sessions

The Texas Southeast C.H. Mason District Empowerment Conference will take place Feb. 22-24 at the Garden of Gethsemane COGIC.

The speaker on Feb. 22 will be Bishop Ladell Thomas Jr., pastor of Cathedral of Deliverance and Praise in Harker Heights.

On Feb. 23, the speaker will be Lady Tihara Thomas, with Cathedral of Deliverance and Praise.

The speaker on Feb. 24 will be Robert Curtis, pastor of New Life Prayer Fellowship in Temple.

All sessions start at 7:30 p.m.

Ladies In Prayer Station plan meetings March 4
