True Deliverance plans garage sale

A garage sale, a fundraiser for the homeless, is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at 508 Hall Ave., behind the post office on 10th Street in Killeen.

The sale is sponsored by True Deliverance Ministries Int’l, Apostle Sadallie I. and Patricia Cole.

All clothing items are $1. All new brand clothing is $2 each. Appliance items are $5 or less.

A revival, “Perfecting the Work of God,” is Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. at True Deliverance Ministries International.

Guest speaker is Bishop Glenn J. McIver of New Beginning Word of Life Church.

The revival concludes with an 11 a.m. service June 2.

Hosts are Apostle Sadallie I. and Elect Lady Patricia Cole.

Cowboy church hosts roping practice

Equine play date, hosted by 5 Hills Cowboy Church, is the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

Roping practice, hosted by 5 Hills Cowboy Church, is at 7 p.m. Fridays. Competition for a jackpot is the third Friday of each month.

A garage sale, hosted by the 5 Hills Cowboy Church Youth Group, begins at 9 a.m. June 1.

The church is at 139 County Road 4630 in Kempner.

Healing rooms open Tuesday

The Killeen Healing Rooms will be open from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road in Killeen.

Prayer teams will be available to pray with participants for healing in the name of Jesus Christ.

Agape COGIC planning revival

“Building the Kingdom of God” Revival is Wednesday through Saturday at 7 p.m. at Agape COGIC.

The revival ends with an 11 a.m. service June 2. Bishop McIver is the guest speaker.

Pausitive Band to perform Wednesday

The Pausitive Band from Goldthwaite will be in concert at Pidcoke Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The band consists of four Pausewang family members. Daughter Mikaela, 12, sings lead on most of the band’s songs. Wendy and her sons Derek, 13, and Logan, 7, join Mikaela, creating the harmony.

Recently the band received the “Rising Star” award from the Gatesville Country Music Hall of Fame.

A time of fellowship with light snacks will be shared after the concert. A love offering will be taken for the band and its ministry. Pastor Don McConnaughhay invites the public to this event.

Pidcoke Baptist Church is on Farm-to-Market 116 halfway between Copperas Cove and Gatesville.

New Hope Missionary set to host revival

A revival at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. daily.

The theme is “The Anionting.” Luke 4: 18-19.

Guest speaker is Pastor Willie E. Robertson.

Ladies invited to prayer event

Ladies in Prayer Stations will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. June 1 at the Garden of Gethsemane COGIC.

All ladies are invited for a time of prayer.

Public invited to fish fry June 1

A fish fry begins at 10 a.m. June 1 at Second Street Baptist Church.

A catfish dinner with coleslaw, pinto beans, potato salad, sliced bread or hushpuppies and soda is $7.

Single fillet is $2. Fish sandwich and soda is $4. Sodas are 50 cents each.

The public is invited.

Revival at Praise and Deliverance

The annual Killeen City Wide Power Praise Revival, hosted by Praise and Deliverance House of Prayer, is June 5-7, at 7 p.m.

The theme is “Fresh Fire.”

Ministry to host Father’s Day dinner

The Rivers of Living Waters Ministry will host a Father’s Day dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. June 16 at the Bishop’s Place.

Dinner consists of a choice of smoked chicken or smoked brisket, with two sides. Each plate is $7 per adult and $3 per child (10 and younger).

Grant-writing seminar planned for June 22

A grant-writing workshop is scheduled for June 22 at the Harker Heights Activity Center, 400 Indian Trail.

The seminar is designed to equip attendees with tools and real-world applicable experiences.

Bible study class signing up members

The Temple-Belton Community Bible Study adult evening class is registering members for a 30-week study of Romans.

Community Bible Study is an interdenominational Bible study for men and women of all backgrounds who are interested in an in-depth weekly study of God’s Word.

Beginning Sept. 9, the class will meet weekly from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Mondays in the small sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Belton, Sixth and Main streets in Belton.

The class is open to all adults. Individuals may choose to participate in core groups for young adults, men, women, or married couples.

Each week, participants receive a reading commentary on the previous week’s topic and a set of questions to work on each day covering the next week’s reading. These questions are discussed in small groups of about 15. After the small groups there is a short teaching over the same section of Scripture.

Class will break for Christmas and spring vacations and finish at the end of April 2014.

Author Sandy Fulkerson is having a book signing from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Grace Christian Center, 1401 E. Elms Road, Killeen.

Fulkerson, of Houston, will be available to sign copies of her book, “Bread Crumbs on Purpose.”

Musical Night of Hope set for Friday

The Men of Unity and the city of Killeen will host a Jazz Concert, Musical Night of Hope, at 7 p.m. Friday at the Killeen Arts & Activities Center in the Performing Arts Auditorium.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The event is a collaborative effort to bring awareness for the need of a homeless shelter and services to the community.

The event is free and open to the public; however, a ticket is required to attend and can be picked up at the Arts and Activities Center, at 801 N. Second St., downtown Killeen, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Ministry plans program for military

Senior Adult First Thursday begins at 10:30 a.m. June 6 at First Baptist Church Killeen, 3310 S. W.S. Young Drive.

House directors for the Soldiers Hospitality House in Killeen, Chris and Elizabeth May, will present a program about their ministry to servicemen at 11 a.m.

A potluck dinner will be served at 11:30 a.m.

Congregation SIMCHA SINAI (Reform Jewish Congregation) meets the second and fourth Friday of each month. The Temple/Synagogue Service is at 102 Cattail Circle in Harker Heights. The public is invited to share their time with the congregation.
