Cove church celebrates family, friends Sunday

Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church will host its 22nd annual Family and Friends Day Celebration at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Guest church will be Second Missionary Baptist Church in Waco.

Pastor (Dr.) Nika L.J. Davis will be bringing the message, and music will be rendered by the Second Baptist Church choir and Bible Way Music Ministry.

The public is invited.

Big John Hall to be in concert at Bethel Church

World-renowned bass singer Big John Hall will be featured at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Bethel Church at 4307 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Killeen.

Hall has performed gospel music for over 50 years.

He became famous while singing with The Blackwood Brothers and other quartets,and now does solo concerts from coast to coast, television and recordings.

The public is invited.

Early arrival is suggested; an overflow room is prepared if needed.

There is no charge for the concert, but an offering will be received.

Public invited to Killeen church’s celebration

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Killeen will celebrate its third Oktoberfest Polka Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday.

The TubaMeisters, of San Antonio, will be guest musicians and will play after lunch.

Lunch tickets are $10 for a bratwurt plate and $5 for a hot dog plate.

No ticket is needed for the worship service.

There will be only one service this day, with Bible classes at 9:15 a.m.

Bible study fellowship plans Women’s Day class

The Temple-Killeen Bible Study Fellowship offers a Women’s Day class, which will have a welcome session for ladies interested in registering for this year’s study on The Gospel of John.

Prayer, fellowship planned at Fort Hood

The Greater Fort Hood Half Day of Prayer and Fellowship is scheduled today at the Spiritual Fitness Center Chapel, 33rd Street and Battalion Avenue, Fort Hood.

A complimentary breakfast will be provided from 8:30 to 9 a.m., followed by a time for prayer.

‘Heal The Sick’ training day set for Oct. 1

The Killeen Healing Rooms is sponsoring a one-day “Heal The Sick” training day on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This training is at the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road (suite C) in Killeen.

Participants will study what the New Testament teaches about healing through the life and teachings of Jesus.

Divine Messengers to sing at Cove church

The Divine Messengers will celebrate 14 years of ministering through music at 4 p.m. Oct. 8 at Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church, 2306 S. Farm-to-Market 116 Copperas Cove, where S.D. McMullen is pastor.

Special guests will be Sister Sister of Killeen, the Gospel Sons Quartet of Waco, the Gospel Holy Tones of Temple and others.

Ladies of Charity set holiday bazaar Nov. 5-6

Harker Heights Ladies of Charity will have a holiday bazaar Nov. 5 and 6 at St. Paul’s Parish Center at 2412 Stillhouse Road in Harker Heights.

On Nov. 5, the hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Nov. 6 from 8 to 11 a.m.

There will be a variety of items for sale to include handmade crafts, baked goods, books, jewelry, fabric, Christmas, religious gifts, and many other items, along with a holiday raffle.

All proceeds go to help those living in poverty and needing help.
