Mission offering free Christmas dinner today

Jesus Hope & Love Homeless Mission will be serving a free Christmas dinner to the community today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The mission is at 818 N. Fourth St. (behind H-E-B downtown Killeen). Everyone is invited.

Killeen church announces weekend services

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Killeen will be having Christmas Eve candlelight services at 5 and 7 p.m. with pre-music starting at 6:45 p.m. The message will be of “The Gift of Joy.”

Christmas Day services will be at 8 and 10:30 a.m. with Holy Communion. There will be no Sunday school hour. The message will be of “The Gift of Glory.”

The church is at 3801 Cunningham Road, Killeen. The public is invited.

Church invites public to weekend services

Skyline Baptist Church, 906 Trimmier Road in Killeen, will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. today and its Christmas service at 10:45 a.m. The public is invited.

Cove church to host candlelight service

First Presbyterian Church, 704 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Copperas Cove, will have a Christmas candlelight service at 7 p.m. today.

The Christmas story will be read and carols sung. Communion will be served.

Killeen Healing Rooms offer prayer teams

The Killeen Healing Rooms will be open from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road in Killeen.

Prayer teams will be available to seek healing in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Killeen Healing Rooms plan training day

The Killeen Healing Rooms is sponsoring a one-day Heal The Sick training day on Jan. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road (suite C) in Killeen.

Participants will study what the New Testament teaches about healing through the life and teachings of Jesus.

Adult Bible study class registering members

The Temple-Belton Community Bible Study adult evening class is registering members for the fall/spring 30-week interdenominational Bible study of Isaiah.

The class meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the small sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Belton, at Sixth and Main streets, Belton.

An introductory class will be held for anyone interested in learning more about Community Bible Study. Individuals may choose to participate in core groups for men, women or married couples.

Each week, participants receive a reading commentary on the previous week’s topic and a set of questions to work on each day covering the next week’s reading.

These questions are discussed in small groups of about 15.

Following the small groups there is a short teaching over the same section of Scripture.

The class will break for Christmas and spring vacations and finish at the first of May 2017.

Center offers breakfast 2nd Saturday of month

Second Street Baptist Church in Killeen offers a free breakfast to the public every second Saturday of the month at the Moss Rose Community Center, 1103 E. Avenue E, Killeen.

The next breakfast is from 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 14.
