Killeen Healing Rooms open today

The Killeen Healing Rooms are open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. today in the KPLE-TV building, 502 E. Elms Road, Killeen.

The group’s commission is based on Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow those that believe ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Prayer teams will be available to seek healing in the name of Jesus Christ.

Spiritual discussion planned today

“Have You Had a Spiritual Experience?” is today’s topic at the Harker Heights Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail.

Presented by the Texas Satsang Society Inc., the discussion is from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Prophet Eugene Timmons will be at St. John Faith Outreach Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Honduras Good Works presentation planned

St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church hosts a reception and program about Honduras Good Works, a medical, educational, building and micro-finance project to help empower the poor in Honduras.

A reception to meet the Rev. Dagoberto ChaconRodriguez, dean of the Episcopal Deanery of Yuscaran, Honduras, begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Dagoberto will present a program at 7 p.m. This is a multidenominational effort. All are welcome.

Aglow International set to meet Tuesday

Aglow International, an interdenominational group for men and women, meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the KPLE-TV building, suite C, 502 Elms Road, Killeen.

Bible Way Missionary plans Church Institute

Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church will hold its annual Church Institute Nov. 12-14 at 7 p.m.

Pastor Willie J. Harper Sr., with the Tried Stone Baptist Church, San Antonio, will teach nightly.

There will be a close-out message Thursday night.

Two local authors will sign their books at the McWha Book Store in downtown Belton during Market Days on Nov. 16.  

Herschel Hill, a retired electronics engineer and retail business owner, will sign “Hicks from the Sticks,” “Way to Eternal Life” and “Fighting Over Faith” from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.   

Monty Van Horn, an ordained interdenominational minister, will sign “A Bikers-Soldier’s Journey” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Prayer breakfast scheduled Nov. 23

Adams Chapel AME Lay Organization will host a prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. Nov. 23 at 125 E. Arlo, Harker Heights. The Rev. Benita Hill is pastor.

The theme is “Joy, When you do what you do with a smile, everything that you do will be twice as worthwhile.”

Heights community Thanksgiving service set

The annual Harker Heights community Thanksgiving service is set for 6 p.m. Nov. 24 at Trinity Baptist Church in Harker Heights.

Churches participating are First Assembly of God, First Baptist Church, Harker Heights Community Church, Harker Heights United Methodist Church, Korean Baptist Church, Saint Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church and Trinity Baptist Church.

The Rev. Philemon Brown of the Harker Heights Community Church will bring the message.

First Baptist- Heights plans family block party

A family block party is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 7 at First Baptist Church, 100 E. Ruby Road, Harker Heights. All children must be accompanied by an adult.The party includes a rock wall, a bounce house, ring toss, cake walk, door prizes, music by DJ Wolf, food, skits and a magic show by Don Lentz.
