Ladies in Prayer Stations to meet

Ladies in Prayer Stations will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. today at Deliverance and Praise Temple COGIC.

All ladies are invited.

Host pastor is Bishop LaDell Thomas Jr.

Nolanville church plans chili day

Lord’s Acre Chili Day and Bazaar is from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today at Nolanville First United Methodist Church, 300 W. Avenue I.

Chili or vegetable soup with a drink and a slice of pie is $6.

The Country Store features homemade breads, cakes, jelly, candy and lots more. Homemade and seasonal craft items also will be on sale.

Raffle items include a Christmas quilt, $100 Walmart gift card and a Beelicious Basket of breakfast goodies.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and may be purchased at the door.

Chili supper kicks off church decorating

Hanging of The Greens, decorating the church for the Christmas season, begins with a chili supper at 5:30 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church.

Guests are welcome.

Groundbreaking set at Immanuel Lutheran

Immanuel Lutheran Church will host a groundbreaking service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The service will begin at 1104 N. Fourth St. and will end at the new site, corner of Elms Road and Cunningham in Killeen.

Bishop Kanouse from the North Texas/North Louisiana Synod will preside at the service. There will be no 8 a.m. service Sunday.

Sunday school, a Confirmation class and adult Bible study will be at 9:15 a.m.

Monthly prayer luncheon Tuesday

The Killeen Christian Ministers Fellowship monthly prayer luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at East Side Baptist Church, 500 N. W.S. Young Drive.

All pastors, ministers and chaplains in the Killeen and Fort Hood area are invited.

Senior pastors who are unable to attend are encouraged to send a representative.

A complimentary lunch will be provided.

The Killeen Christian Ministers Fellowship is an informal organization whose goal is to strengthen relationships among the spiritual leaders of the community. There are no dues or fees, and membership is open to all pastors, ministers and chaplains in the local area. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month for fellowship and prayer.

The 16th Pastor and Family Anniversary Service at Second Street Baptist Church begins at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Local churches are asked to please render an A/B selection of praise through song, dance or instrument.

Church to host Christmas revival

A Christmas revival at Worship In The Word Ministries is Monday through Friday at 7 p.m.

The guest speaker is Bishop Demetrius Beachum from Ministry of Hope in Marlin.

The church is at 1340 E. Knight’s Way in Harker Heights. Host pastor and founder is Senior Pastor E. Sapp and Evangelist M. Sapp.

Clergy, wives plan Christmas dinner

The Garden of Gethsemane COGIC in Harker Heights is sponsoring the 30th annual Pastors’ and Ministers’ Wives Christmas dinner in the home of Superintendent Willie D. and Missionary Florence Grove.

Every year, the clergy and wives come together and fellowship with each other during the holiday season.

The annual Christmas dinner begins with prayer. After dinner, there will be songs. There will be Christmas music and a gift exchange.

Dinner begins at 8 p.m. Monday.

Public invited to time of prayer

The monthly citywide time of prayer at Hope Pregnancy Center is from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.

The public is invited to join in petitioning the Lord on behalf of the unborn in the spirit of biblical unity.

Hope Pregnancy Center is in the Southpointe Center south of the Copper Mountain post office on W.S. Young Drive in suite 301-C.

Healing Rooms open Dec. 8

The Killeen Healing Rooms will be open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8 in the KPLE-TV building, 502 E. Elms Road, Killeen.

The group’s commission is based on Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow those that believe ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Prayer teams available to see visitors healed in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The group desires to bring together believers from all over the community to pray for the sick and see miracles happen. Anyone who is interested in being trained to be a part of this ministry can go to www.killeenhealingrooms.com or call (254) 681-5823.

Night of Praise planned Dec. 8

Night of Praise and Worship begins at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 at Beyond The Veil Ministries.

A few of the special musical guests will be The Gospel Travelers, gospel recording artist The Gospel Holy Tones, and The Divine Messengers.

German service set for Dec. 9

Immanuel Lutheran Church of Copperas Cove will celebrate its annual “Advent Gottesdienst,” a German service, at 6 p.m. Dec. 9.

The Rev. Otto Brillinger will again travel to Immanuel to be the guest preacher for this service.

Coffee and refreshments will be served in the parish hall following this special service.

This is a community-wide special tradition, and everyone is invited to attend.

Operation Bull Thunder today

5 Hills Cowboy Church presents Operation Bull Thunder at 3 p.m. today at 139 County Road 4630, Kempner.

Admission is $10 at the gate; children age 12 and younger are admitted free.

The event at the arena features 30 Header, 8-Short go, Mutton Bustin’ with $1,500 added.

A concession stand will be open, and door prizes from local businesses will be awarded.

There is also a drawing for an AR-15 rifle.

The event is being put on in conjunction with Broken G Cattle Co. and Centex Chapter 1876, Order of the Purple Heart.

Choir, orchestra set to perform two concerts

Central Texas Master Singers Choir and Orchestra will perform two fully orchestrated Christmas Concerts on Monday at LifeWay Fellowship in Killeen, at 4001 E. Elms Road in Killeen and Dec. 4 at First Baptist Church in Belton, 506 S. Main St., Belton.

Both performances are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Advance tickets are $20 per person or $25 at the door.

Second Street plans anniversary service

Second Street Baptist Church is having its 16th Pastor and Family Anniversary Service at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Guest speaker is Pastor Forbes of Robinson Chapel AME Church in McGregor.

First Baptist-Killeen to present cantata

The Adult Choir and Orchestra of First Baptist Church Killeen will present the Christmas cantata “And on Earth Peace” at 6 p.m. Dec. 16. There is no cost, but a freewill offering will be taken.

Christmas Bazaar at Clear Creek Baptist

Clear Creek Baptist Church will have its annual Christmas Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 15.

Homemade baked goods, hand-crafted jewelry, woodwork, home décor, and other arts and crafts plus door prizes will be available at the bazaar.

Clear Creek Baptist Church is about one mile south of U.S. Highway 190 on Farm-to-Market 2657.

Texas A&M Singing Cadets to perform

First United Methodist Church will present the Texas A&M Singing Cadets at 7 p.m. Jan. 11.

Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 in advance at the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce, and HB Sheppard Cen-Tex Properties in Belton

The fundraiser benefits local scholarship recipients attending Texas A&M University in 2013.

The church is at 3501 E. Elms Road in Killeen.
