Ladies invited to prayer session

Ladies in Prayer Stations meet for prayer from 9 to 10 a.m. today at Worship in the Word Ministries.

All ladies are invited.

Hope Pregnancy to host prayer event

A monthly citywide time of prayer is from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hope Pregnancy Center in Killeen.

Prayer is being held to petition the Lord on behalf of the unborn in the spirit of biblical unity.

Hope Pregnancy Center is in Suite 301-C of the Southpointe Center, directly south of the Copper Mountain post office on W.S. Young Drive.

A&M Singing Cadets to perform at church

The Texas A&M University Singing Cadets will perform at First United Methodist Church in Killeen at 7 p.m. Friday.

The performance is a presentation of the Killeen-Fort Hood Area A&M Club and will serve as the alumni group’s primary scholarship fundraiser this year.

The group has performed for every living president and countless world leaders through Texas A&M’s role as home to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.

The group is composed of current A&M students who dedicate a large portion of their college lives to touring with the group.

First United Methodist Church is at 3501 E. Elms Road in Killeen.

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

Tickets are available at the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce and HB Sheppard Cen-Tex Properties in Belton.

Proceeds benefit Texas A&M scholarship recipients.

Ministers fellowship plans prayer luncheon

The Killeen Christian Ministers Fellowship monthly prayer luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at East Side Baptist Church, 500 N. W.S. Young Drive.

All pastors, ministers and chaplains in the greater Killeen area are invited. Senior pastors who are unable to attend are urged to send a representative.

A complimentary lunch will be provided.

The Killeen Christian Ministers Fellowship is an informal organization that tries to strengthen relationships among the spiritual leaders of the community. There are no dues or fees, and membership is open to all pastors, ministers and chaplains in the area. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month for fellowship and prayer.

Public invited to Aglow’s meeting

Aglow’s monthly meeting starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the KPLE-TV building, Suite C, 502 Elms Road in Killeen.

Bible group to host welcome session

Bible Study Fellowship will have a welcome session at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church-Killeen.

This session is for anyone interested in learning about the fellowship and interested in enrolling in the remainder of the Genesis Study this year.

Concert at Greater Love Outreach

The Global Mission Benefit Seed Sending Concert begins at 6 p.m. Jan. 12 at Greater Love Outreach.

Young ministry artists, leading the way with word and rap worship, are scheduled to perform.

The public is invited. Admission is a bag of rice and beans.

Donated Bibles and books also are appreciated.

Goods and gifts to help the poor and needy in Ghana are scheduled to be shipped Jan. 19.

Gospel Music Jamboree Jan. 12

Robertson Avenue Baptist Church’s Gospel Music Jamboree is from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 12.

BMB Ministries and Productions presents Frontline Conference 2013, Ephesians 6:11-14 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center on Jan. 18.

The program speaker is Juanita Brown.

Recovery program offered Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-centered recovery program, meets from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at Hillside Ministries.

A nursery is provided.

Kempner church hosts Bible study

Free coffee, conservation, prayer and Bible study are open to all at Kempner Oak Hill Baptist Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon each week.

English and Korean are spoken.

Cedar Valley to host monthly singing

The monthly Fourth Friday Night Singing at Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Salado is from 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 25.

Come sing or just be blessed at the event.

A potluck and sweets for the meal during break of singing service is held in the church fellowship hall. All are invited to attend.

Singing is always the fourth Friday of a month, unless otherwise notified, as some months have five Fridays.

Jewish congregation meets twice monthly

Congregation Simcha Sinai (Reform Jewish congregation) meets the second and fourth Friday of each month.

The temple/synagogue service is at 102 Cattail Circle in Harker Heights.

Doors are open, and the public is invited to share time with the congregation.

After the service, there will be a light meal (dairy).

Killeen Healing Rooms open Jan. 12

The Killeen Healing Rooms are open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 12 in the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road in Killeen.

The group’s commission is based on Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow those that believe ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Prayer teams will be available to see participants healed in the name of Jesus Christ.

The group desires to bring together believers from all over the community to pray for the sick and see miracles happen.

Public invited to Youth Town Hall

A Youth Town Hall is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 26 at Greater Vision Community Church, Activities Building, 2000 E. Stan Schlueter Loop, Killeen

The public is invited.

Greater Vision is collaborating with parents, youth, educators, substance abuse prevention specialists, city officials and representatives of nonprofit organizations, businesses, health organizations to discuss and raise awareness about the issues our youth are facing today.

This will be an evening with a purpose to bring together youth, church leaders, educators, parents, community leaders to discuss low self-esteem, bullying, sexual/gender choices, alcohol, drugs and many more topics youth face daily through a combination of situation skits, combination empowerment dances, briefings from officials, and testimonies from youth.

Guiding Light to mark anniversary

The congregation of Guiding Light Ministries invites the public to help celebrate their fifth year of service in the building of God’s kingdom.
