Killeen Healing Rooms are open today

The Killeen Healing Rooms are open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. today in the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road in Killeen.

The group’s commission is based on Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow those that believe ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Prayer teams will be available to seek healing in the name of Jesus.

Killeen church to mark Holy Trinity Sunday

Immanuel Lutheran Church will be celebrating Holy Trinity Sunday on Sunday at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services.

Bishop Erik Gronberg of the North Texas-North Louisiana Synod will be delivering the sermon.

There will be a meet- and-greet reception for him at 9:15 a.m. Holy Communion will be served at both services.

Killeen church to host bazaar today

The Church of the Deliverance will be having its first annual Neighborhood Bazaar today from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be a variety of vendors selling arts and crafts, shoes, clothes and home goods.

Women’s Day Prayer Breakfast is today

Simmonsville Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Women’s Day Prayer Breakfast today at 8 a.m. at the Harker Heights library, 400 Indian Trail.

Sister Barbara Rauls will be the guest speaker. The theme of the breakfast is “Pray Until Something Happens.” Tickets are $10.

Killeen church to mark 59th anniversary

God’s Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ will be celebrating its 59th anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday.

The theme of this service is “A Church Empowered To Stand.”

Cove church to honor pastor, family Sunday

Members of Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church will show their love and appreciation of their pastor, the Rev. S.D. McMullen and family on Sunday.

The youth will be in charge during the 11 a.m. worship service. The Rev. Joshua Joubert, pastor of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, San Antonio, will bring the morning message.

During the Pastor’s Appreciation Hour at 3 p.m., the word of God will be proclaimed by the Rev. J.A. Moland, pastor of Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Killeen. He will be accompanied by the choir and members of Greater Peace.

The public is invited.

Church’s chicken barbecue is Sunday

Grace Lutheran Church will have its annual chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the church parish hall.

Tickets are $7 per adult and $4 per child. Children under 6 years old are free. Chicken meals with dessert are $8 each. The church is at 1007 Bacon Ranch Road, Killeen.

Proceeds will support the church club’s mission projects.

Killeen church offers VBS this month

Vacation Bible School: Discovering The God Of The Universe will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 19-23 at New Sunset Community Church in Killeen.

The Bible school is free and open to children ages 5 years old to preteen.

Killeen church plans Children’s Day Camp

The First United Methodist Church in Killeen will have its annual Children’s Day Camp on June 19-23 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The camp is for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

The camp will be led by Luther Hill Ministries Day Camp, and the theme is Reform, ReImagine, Rejoice!

The cost is $55 for one child, $100 for two, and $140 for three, $180 for four and $200 for five. The cost of the camp includes a T-shirt.

Killeen church to host conference this month

Agape Church of God in Christ will have its Armed and Positioned for War Conference on June 23-25. The conference will start at 7 p.m. June 23.

On June 24, breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. followed by the workshop and lunch at 11:30 a.m.

Harker Heights church to offer VBS in July

Iglesia Uncion De Lo Alto Church will have its vacation Bible school July 26 to 26 from 8 a.m. to noon.

All ages are welcome to attend this free event.

There will be guest speakers from the local fire and police department, learning and fun activities for the kids. Parents and guardians can sign up children on the first day of VBS.

The church is looking for sponsorship for this summer program.
