Divine Messengers anniversary celebration today in Cove

The Divine Messengers will celebrate 14 years of ministering to the souls through music at 4 p.m. today at Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church, 2306 S. Farm-to-Market 116 in Copperas Cove, where S.D. McMullen is pastor.

Special guests will be Sister Sister of Killeen, The Gospel Sons Quartet of Waco, The Gospel Holy Tones of Temple and others.

Killeen Healing Rooms open today at KPLE-TV

The Killeen Healing Rooms will be open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. today in the KPLE-TV building at 502 E. Elms Road in Killeen.

The group’s commission is based on Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow those that believe. ... They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Prayer teams will be available to seek healing in the name of Jesus Christ.

Baptist church to honor Pastor, Sister Moland

Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church family will celebrate Appreciation Services for Pastor J.A. Moland and Sister Felicia Moland on Sunday.

The guest speaker for the 10 a.m. service will be Pastor Frank L. Curtis of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Hazelhurst, Miss.

Guest speaker for the 3 p.m. service will be Pastor S.D. McMullen and the Bible Way Missionary Church, Copperas Cove. The public is invited.​

‘Blessing of the Pets’ service Sunday in Cove

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Copperas Cove will offer its annual “Blessing of the Pets” on Sunday, at City Park after the 11 a.m. church service.

Watch for signs. All pets are welcome, on a leash or in a kennel.

Each pet will receive a blessing from the priest and a blessing certificate.

Women’s Missionary Society hosting ‘Fish Fry Dinner Sale’

Anderson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church Hami Hon-Manjang Women’s Missionary Society will host a “Fish Fry Dinner Sale” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the church, 1002 Jefferis Ave.

Ladies of Charity holiday bazaar is Nov. 5-6

Harker Heights Ladies of Charity will have a Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 5 and 6 at St. Paul’s Parish Center, 2412 Stillhouse Road in Harker Heights.

On Nov. 5, the bazaar will be open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Nov. 6 from 8 to 11 a.m. There will be a variety of items for sale including handmade crafts, baked goods, books, jewelry, fabric, Christmas and religious gifts, and many other items, along with a Big Holiday Raffle.

All proceeds go to help those living in poverty and needing help in local communities.

Registration ongoing for Bible Study of Isaiah

The Temple-Belton Community Bible Study adult evening class is registering members for the fall/spring 30-week interdenominational Bible Study of Isaiah.

The class meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the small sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Belton, at Sixth and Main Streets, Belton.

An introductory class will be held for anyone interested in learning more about Community Bible Study. Individuals may choose to participate in core groups for men, women or married couples.

Each week, participants receive a reading commentary on the previous week’s topic and a set of questions to work on each day covering the next week’s reading.

These questions are discussed in small groups of about 15.

Following the small groups, a short teaching over the same section of Scripture will be held.

The class will break for Christmas and spring vacations and finish the beginning of May.
