Women’s ministry plans program
First Baptist Church of Killeen’s Women’s Enrichment Ministry will have a program from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
It will be a Texas-themed fellowship with a prize given for the best Texas attire.
Dinner will be served and special guest speaker is Jimmie Don Aycock.

Killeen church plans day of prayer program
The First United Methodist Church of Killeen will celebrate the National Day of Prayer at 5:30 p.m. May 4 with a short program, communion service and light meal.
The theme this year is “For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us ... Forgive Us ... Heal Us! “
This is a communitywide celebration and all are invited.

Killeen church to host celebration of music
Join the Westside Baptist Men in a celebration of music and singing April 21 and 22 at 6 p.m.
On April 21, the church will be celebrating its 22nd annual Baptist Men’s Musical with special guests The Divine Messengers, a special performance by Season 5 Sunday Best Jacqueline Calhoun and many more.
On April 23, Westside Baptist will culminate the musical program with a special 3 p.m. service. The guest speaker will be Pastor Shaun Moton of Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Killeen.

Men, sons invited to prayer breakfast
The quarterly communitywide men’s prayer breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m. April 22 at Saints Center, 801 Industrial Ave., in Copperas Cove.
All men and sons are welcome to attend, participate in the breakfast and join in prayer for our community, our families, our churches, state and nation.

Public invited to event at Heights church
Knights of Columbus, St. Andrew Kim Council 9930 is conducting the eighth annual A Knight at the races on April 29 at St. Paul Chong Hasang Parish Center, 2412 Stilllhouse Drive in Harker Heights.
The event is open to the public.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first race starts at 6:45 p.m.
Horses must be purchased before the event for $30 each by calling 254-698-1770 or from members of the council.
Buying a horse provides you $100 in play money.
You don’t have to buy a horse to attend, but you can pay an entry fee of $10 that provides you $50 play money.
Winnings of play money are used to bid on silent auction items at the completion of races.
Cove church to give away produce bags
Five Hills Assembly of God will provide bags of produce to families in need every Monday and Tuesday.
