Public invited to pray at Hope Pregnancy Center

Area residents are invited to attend the monthly citywide time of prayer at Hope Pregnancy Center in Killeen from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Participants will petition the Lord on behalf of the unborn in the spirit of biblical unity.

HPC is located in Southpointe Center directly south of the Copper Mountain post office on W.S. Young Drive in suite 301-C.

Ministers to gather for luncheon Tuesday

The Killeen Christian Ministers Fellowship’s monthly prayer luncheon will be from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at East Side Baptist Church, 500 N. W.S. Young Drive.

All pastors, ministers and chaplains in the greater Killeen-Fort Hood area are invited. Senior pastors who are unable to attend are encouraged to send a representative.

A complimentary lunch will be provided.

The Killeen Christian Ministers Fellowship is an informal group whose goal is to strengthen relationships among the spiritual leaders of the community.

There are no dues, and membership is open to all pastors, ministers and chaplains in the local area. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month for fellowship and prayer.

Moss Rose Community Center invites all area residents to a free breakfast from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Aug. 13. The center is at 1103 E. Avenue E. in Killeen. The center offers free breakfast the second Saturday of each month.

Bible study group is registering members

The Temple-Belton Community Bible Study adult evening class is registering members for next year’s 30 week in-depth interdenominational study of Isaiah.

Beginning Sept. 12, the class will meet Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the small sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Belton, at Sixth and Main streets, Belton. Individuals may choose to participate in core groups for men, women, or married couples.

Each week, participants receive a reading commentary on the previous week’s topic and a set of questions to work on each day covering the next week’s reading.

These questions are discussed in small groups of about 15. Following the small-group sessions, there is a short teaching about the same section of Scripture.
