Ministry planning yard sale in Copperas Cove

A yard sale, hosted by the Bountiful New Life COGIC Singles Ministry, is from 8 to 6 p.m. today at 411 John Henry Circle in Copperas Cove.

Health, wellness fair set for today in Heights park

Registration for a health and wellness fair starts at 8 a.m. today at Kern Park in Harker Heights.

Walk Across Texas for Nina Moore begins with laps around Kern Park leading to Adams Chapel, 124 E. Arlo Road.

A Scott & White blood drive is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Information will be available about senior health, mental health, cancer survivor counseling, CPR, diabetes, heart health, food and nutrition, HIV and more.

Speakers’ topics include making a will, preburial planning and health insurance.

Refreshments, food, activities and gift giveaways will be available.

Co-sponsors are Adams Chapel and Scott & White.

Public invited to talk on spiritual experiences

Spiritual experiences will be discussed from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. today at the Harker Heights Activities Center, Room B, 400 Indian Trail, Harker Heights.

Church praying for girls abducted in Nigeria

The Anderson Chapel AME Church of Killeen will devote a part of its Sunday worship for special prayer, not only for mothers, but also for the 276 girls who were abducted from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Nigeria, in April.

The Rev. Dr. William M. Campbell Jr. is the senior pastor.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. at Anderson Chapel AME Church, 1002 Jefferies Ave., in Killeen.

Rivers of Living Waters to honor mothers

A Mother’s Day celebration called 300 Women in White will take place during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Rivers of Living Waters Ministry, 508 N. Gray St., Killeen.

A fellowship dinner begins after the service. All are welcome.

A food, clothing and goods giveaway is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the north campus of Destiny World Outreach Center.

Bible institute session resumes Monday

The American International Bible Institute and Seminary summer session resumes at 6 p.m. Monday with weekly classes in New Testament Greek, The Seven Words of Worship, and Victory in Spiritual Warfare.

A Killeen Aglow International meeting starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the KPLE-TV building, Suite C, 502 Elms Road, Killeen.

St. Christopher’s to host potluck dinner Thursday

St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church is having an evening of sharing faith and a potluck dinner from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The evening will begin with a shared meal. Each of us has our own personal faith story, and sharing our stories deepens our own faith as well as helps others to recognize how God has worked in their lives.

Child care will be provided for children in kindergarten and younger, by reservation with the office.

Open Arms Outreach offers food giveaway

Open Arms Outreach will offers its free monthly food pantry beginning at 9 a.m. May 17 at 413 Eighth St. between Modern TV & Appliance and the Armed Services YMCA in downtown Killeen.

Breakfast burritos will be served at no charge. Food will be given away as long as it lasts.

This ministry serves the community by providing emergency food, toiletry items, and financial assistance and counseling.

It also operates an adult literacy program and offers free educational tutoring for school-age children.

New Life Apostolic plans seminar on prophecy

Some of the topics are the Seven Trumpets, Four Horsemen, Islam in prophecy, the Holy Roman Empire, the Vatican in Revelation, Israel’s third temple and Armageddon.

Agape COGIC to host Walk for Jesus

Agape COGIC is set to host the Walk for Jesus on May 31 at the Killeen Community Center, 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Killeen.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.

Warm-up is at 8 a.m. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m.

Early registration ends May 25 and is $15 for adults and $10 for ages 10-17.

All proceeds will go to benefit the Mission Soup Kitchen of Killeen, the Christian Assistance Network and the Killeen Food Care Center.
