Skyline Baptist Church at 906 Trimmier Road in Killeen will be a collection site for Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse).

Collection Week will be held from Monday through Nov. 21.

Collection times vary each day.

Tuesday — 4-7 p.m.

Wednesday — 1-4 p.m.

Thursday — 1-5 p.m.

Friday — 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

 Killeen mission to offer Thanksgiving dinner

The public is invited to a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 20 at Jesus Hope and Love Mission, 818 N. Fourth St. (next to the downtown H-E-B).

Food will be provided and served by various biker groups from the local area.

Women with Power Revival concludes today

Praise and Deliverance House of Prayer will conclude its annual citywide Women with Power Revival today in downtown Killeen.

The theme is “Mirror Mirror” /2 Corinthians 3:18/ James 1:22-23.

The speaker for today’s 5 p.m. session will be Mother Mariam Willis of the House of Worship in Killeen.

Special music will be provided by various churches.

The public is invited to attend.

Belton church to offer turkey dinner Sunday

A turkey dinner will be served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Parish Hall at Christ the King Catholic Church.

Adult tickets are $9, children’s admission is $6.

This includes a drink and dessert.

To-go plates will be available.

There will also be a silent auction, as well as activities including face painting, a duck pond and a sweets booth.

Free breakfast offered 2nd Saturday of month

Second Street Baptist Church in Killeen offers a free breakfast to the public every second Saturday of the month at the Moss Rose Community Center, 1103 E. Avenue E, Killeen.

Survivors of Suicide Loss Day planned Nov. 19

An International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day program will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 19 at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights.

Anyone who has lost a loved one through suicide is invited to attend.

Destiny World Outreach Center to give away food

Destiny World Outreach Center is holding a Feed the 5000 day Nov. 20, beginning at 6 p.m. or until all the boxes are gone.

No ID or proof of any sort required. Recipients can drive up in their car and receive a box with many good, fresh foods for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Adult Bible study class registering members

The Temple-Belton Community Bible Study adult evening class is registering members for the fall/spring 30-week interdenominational Bible study of Isaiah.

The class meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the small sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Belton, at Sixth and Main streets, Belton.

An introductory class will be held for anyone interested in learning more about Community Bible Study. Individuals may choose to participate in core groups for men, women or married couples.

Each week participants receive a reading commentary on the previous week’s topic and a set of questions to work on each day covering the next week’s reading.

These questions are discussed in small groups of about 15. Following the small groups there is a short teaching over the same section of Scripture.

The class will break for Christmas and spring vacations and finish at the first of May 2017. For more information, call the class coordinator at 254-773-1842.
