Cove church plans anniversary celebration

Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church in Copperas Cove will celebrate its 36th anniversary at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The speaker will be Pastor Joe Bedford of Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Waco.

Music will be rendered by the Greater Zion Church Choir and Bible Way Music Ministry.

The public is invited to the celebration.

Dinner will be served after the service.

Ladies of Charity set holiday bazaar Nov. 5-6

Harker Heights Ladies of Charity will have a Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 5 and 6 at St. Paul’s Parish Center, 2412 Stillhouse Road in Harker Heights.

On Nov. 5, the hours will be 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Nov. 6 from 8 to 11 a.m. There will be a variety of items for sale to include handmade crafts, baked goods, books, jewelry, fabric, Christmas, religious gifts, and many other items, along with a Big Holiday Raffle.

All proceeds go to help those living in poverty and needing help in our communities.

Adult Bible study class registering members

The Temple-Belton Community Bible Study adult evening class is registering members for the fall/spring 30-week interdenominational Bible study of Isaiah.

The class meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the small sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Belton, at Sixth and Main Streets, Belton.

An introductory class will be held for anyone interested in learning more about Community Bible Study. Individuals may choose to participate in core groups for men, women, or married couples.

Each week participants receive a reading commentary on the previous week’s topic and a set of questions to work on each day covering the next week’s reading.

These questions are discussed in small groups of about 15. Following the small groups there is a short teaching over the same section of Scripture.

The class will break for Christmas and spring vacations and finish at the first of May 2017. For additional information, contact the class coordinator at (254) 773-1842.

Ladies In Prayer Station set to meet Nov. 5

The Ladies In Prayer Station will meet at the Courtyard by Marriott on Nov. 5, beginning at 9 a.m.

A second prayer will begin at 5 p.m.

LIPS will be a part of the helping the hands that feed the homeless during the evening program that is spearheaded by Missionary Theresa Anderson.

Nov. 16 is the deadline to sign up for Thanksgiving baskets being offered by True Deliverance Ministries in Killeen.

Heights church plans Family Harvest events today

Cathedral of Deliverance and Praise COGIC in Harker Heights will have a Family Harvest car wash, chicken and fish dinners and garage sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

Fish dinners are $10, chicken dinners are $8, and combo dinners are $12 each. Each dinner includes macaroni and cheese, green beans, a roll and cake.

Car washes are $10 for a regular wash and $12 for a complete wash.

The church is at 702 Harley Drive in Harker Heights.
