Playmakers of Comedy to perform today

The Playmakers of Comedy will be at a meet-and-greet event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Temple of Faith Apostolic Ministries, 808 N. Eighth St., Killeen.

The Playmakers of Comedy are scheduled to perform at 6 p.m. today at Vive Les Arts Theater. Also performing are Corene Gardner and Brittany Ellis of Vision of Grace Dance Academy.

Cove Nazarene to host men’s prayer breakfast

A community men’s prayer breakfast in Copperas Cove is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. today at the Cove Nazarene Church, 964 W. U.S. Highway 190 in Copperas Cove.

The breakfast offers an opportunity for all men and their sons to come together and pray.

The breakfast will be prepared by the men of the host church and served at 7:30 a.m. The prayer portion begins at 8 a.m. and will end at 9 a.m.

You do not have to be a member of a church to participate.

Bible Way Missionary ushers plan workshop

Immanuel Lutheran celebrating anniversary

Immanuel Lutheran Church of Copperas Cove, has scheduled four special services for its 120th anniversary celebration.

The first will be an outdoor gospel service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday under the trees on the grounds of Immanuel. The Rev. James Herzog will preach.

Series on prayer gets underway Sunday

A six-week series on prayer and temperament with the Rev. Jones and Cheryl Stone, spiritual director, begins at 9:15 a.m. Sunday at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Killeen.

Also beginning is a noon Monday Bible study focusing each week on the readings of the Revised Common Lectionary, through the summer. Call 254-634-7494.

Meeting on missions to Africa set for Friday

Funds and prayer support are needed to launch a mission to Africa, set for Nov. 8-29.
