Immanuel Lutheran Church-Killeen

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Killeen will have an Easter egg hunt from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the church for children in fifth grade and younger.

Immanuel Lutheran Church will begin Holy Week with Psalm Sunday this Sunday with services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. with Bible study at 9:15 am. There will be communion served at both services.

Maundy Thursday Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m.: At the Crossroads, “Forgiveness,” a service for Holy Week, and at 7 p.m. will be The “Living Last Supper,” a re-creation of the scene in the upper room with 13 live performers (members of the congregation). Communion will be served at both services.

First United Methodist Church-Killeen

The First United Methodist Church in Killeen will present a re-enactment of the betrayal and crucifixion of Jesus Christ at 7 p.m. Friday.

The re-enactment of Jesus’ last hours will take place at Methodist Park, off Cunningham Road behind the First United Methodist Church, 3501 E. Elms Road.

On Palm Sunday at 7:45 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., FUMC will celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.

Beginning Sunday and lasting through Easter, the church will have the Stations of the Cross on its Reflection Trail.

Visitors can take a spiritual pilgrimage and reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

There are pamphlets at the head of the trail with reflections and prayer suggestions and there are prayer aids on the Stations. To access the trail, take the steps behind the church down the hill towards the three crosses.

The church also will have a Living Last Supper, a re-enactment of Jesus’ last supper, at 7 p.m. Thursday, with Holy Communion.

At 5 p.m. on Good Friday, the church youth will guide worshipers us through a Stations of the Cross contemplative worship experience in the church sanctuary.

New Sunset Community Church-Killeen

New Sunset Community Church will have an Easter Egg-Stravaganza from 1 to 4 p.m. April 15.

The event will feature Easter egg hunts for all ages, various times, puppet show, bounce houses, hot dogs and drinks.

The church is at 814 W. Avenue C in Killeen.

Skyline Baptist Church-Killeen

Skyline Baptist Church at 906 Trimmier Road in Killeen will have two services on Easter Sunday.

A sunrise service will begin at 7 a.m. in the sanctuary, with breakfast to follow in the Fellowship Hall. Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Worship services will take place at 10:45 a.m., during which the Lord’s Supper will be observed.

East Side Baptist Church-Killeen

East Side Baptist Church will have an Easter celebration with lunch, an Easter egg hunt and kids’ craft time on April 15 starting at 11 a.m.
