Thursday: Maundy Thursday service with Holy Communion and Stripping of the Sanctuary starts at 7 p.m.

Friday: Good Friday, the sanctuary is open for prayer from noon to 3 p.m.

March 31: Easter Sunday sunrise service is at 7 a.m. Breakfast is after sunrise service. Easter egg hunt will be held after the 11 a.m. service.

First United Methodist Church

Sunday: Palm Sunday worship services, 7:45, 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Sunday: Re-enactment Jerusalem at the time of Christ, 5 to 7 p.m. Passion play portion, 6:30 to 7 p.m. Jerusalem will be held at Methodist park, corner of Cunningham and Elms Roads. Admission is a can of food for the Killeen food bank or monetary donation. No one will be turned away. If it rains, the event will not be held.

Thursday: Maudy Thursday service, noon.

Friday: Good Friday - Reverse Advent, 7 p.m.

March 30: Children’s Easter egg hunt, 10:30 a.m., 6503 Wells Fargo, Killeen. Bring a side dish or dessert for the cookout being held after the egg hunt.

Harker Heights community Easter service

March 31: 35th annual Harker Heights Community Easter Sunrise Service at the amphitheater in Carl Levin Park, Farm-to-Market 2410 at U.S. Highway 190, at 7 a.m.

Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club with the assistance of the City of Harker Heights and local churches.

Easter message delivered by Dr. David Morgan, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church.

In case of rain, the service will be conducted at Trinity Baptist Church. Farm-to-Market 2410 near the entrance to Carl Levin Park.

Easter breakfast will be served at the Harker Heights Library/Activity Center by the youth of Harker Heights United Methodist Church Youth after the sunrise service.
