St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church

The Procession of the Palms is Sunday.

Observances during the week include Wednesday’s Reconciliation and Healing at 6 p.m.; Thursday’s observance of the Last Supper and the Washing of Feet at 6 p.m, the Stations of the Cross at noon, followed by the Good Friday Liturgy at 6 p.m.

The Great Vigil begins at 8:02 p.m. April 19. The celebration continues on Easter Sunday with 7:45 and 10:30 a.m. services, followed by an egg hunt and potluck luncheon. All are welcome.

First Presbyterian Church-Copperas Cove

The church, at 704 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, has scheduled the following Holy Week services:

Sunday — Palm Sunday worship service, 11 a.m. (with palm processional).

Thursday — worship service, 7 p.m. (a light meal with communion followed by Tenebrae service).

Friday — noon to 3 p.m. sanctuary available for prayer and meditation.

Easter Sunday events:

7 a.m. — worship service, followed by breakfast.

9 a.m. — Easter egg hunt (parents are asked to bring a dozen eggs per child).

9:45 a.m. — Easter movie and fellowship time.

11 a.m. — worship service.

Immanuel Lutheran Church, LCMS

The Copperas Cove church will hold these services during Holy Week:

Maundy Thursday — communion service, 7 p.m.

Good Friday — service, 7 p.m.

April 20 —Easter sunrise service, 7:30 a.m. The service is at the large white cross on the hillside behind the church. After the service, breakfast will be served in parish hall. Easter celebration service is at 10:30 a.m.

The church is 2 miles north of Copperas Cove on North First Street and 2 miles west at 922 Lutheran Church Road. Call 254-547-3498.

Harker Heights United Methodist Church

The church will offer a Palm Sunday Tenebrae service, “The Seven Last Days,” from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday.

An Easter egg hunt is from 3 to 5 p.m. April 19 at the church.

The event is open to all children.

The church is at 208 W. Cardinal Lane.

Belton First United Methodist Church

Belton First United Methodist Church will have its Palm Sunday “Holy Week Journey” at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Family Life Center.

All are welcome to this fun event for children to learn about Jesus’ last week before his crucifixion.

There will be a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday.

On Easter. a 6:30 a.m. sunrise service will be celebrated at Miller Springs Outdoor Center (Lake Belton). The 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. traditional Easter services will take place in the sanctuary, along with a 5 p.m. Living Water Praise Easter service.

Greater Peace Missionary Baptist

The church’s adult choir presents “Redeemed, The Gospel Changes Everything,” an Easter cantata, at 6:30 p.m. Friday and at 10 a.m. April 20.

The public is invited.

‘Bow the Knee’

This dramatic musical will be performed at 3 p.m. April 20 at the Killeen Performing Arts Center, 801 N. Fourth St., Building A, in Killeen. Everyone is welcome. Free reserved seating passes are available at Family Christian Store in Killeen and Metroplex Hospital’s gift shop.
