Central Texas College culinary club offers Thanksgiving pies

Hate holiday baking? The Central Texas College Culinary/Hospitality Arts Club can help.

Culinary arts students are offering a variety of pies and desserts prepared from scratch and a do-it-yourself apple pie kit during its annual “Running of the Pies” for Thanksgiving.

Choose from fresh apple pie ($16), traditional pecan pie ($20), southern sweet potato pie ($12), pumpkin pie ($12), pumpkin rolls ($12) and turtle cheesecake ($30).

The do-it-yourself apple pie kit ($15) includes the pie pan, pie shell (top and bottom crust) and apple filling. You simply fill and bake.

Pies can be ordered through 10 a.m. Nov. 20 at the culinary arts kitchen in the CTC Student Center (building 106), room 100B or online at www.runningofthepies2013.com. Payment is due when pies are ordered. Pies can be picked up in the Student Center between noon and 4 p.m. Nov. 26.
