In partnership with IHOP’s National Pancake Day, the brand’s signature day of giving, Shriners Hospitals are aiming to raise funds to support the fight to find cures for life-threatening diseases that affect children and families across the United States.
On Tuesday, guests will receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes at participating IHOP restaurants, including locations in Harker Heights and Killeen, and in return are asked to leave a donation to benefit local charities and hospitals in the communities they serve.
Since 2006, IHOP’s National Pancake Day has raised $24 million for local charities nationwide.
Blue Bell releases new flavor
BRENHAM — Do you like your ice cream in a cone or a bowl? Now, you can skip the bowl and eat your ice cream cone straight from the carton. The newest flavor from Blue Bell, Ice Cream Cone, makes it that easy.
“We may have solved one of the biggest dilemmas for ice cream fans, cone versus bowl,” said Ricky Dickson, Blue Bell president. “Ice Cream Cone is a great combination of everything you would expect — vanilla ice cream, chocolate and cone pieces. And a cone always needs a topping, so we added in the chopped roasted peanuts. Ice Cream Cone is about as close to perfection as you can get.”
The new flavor will be available for a limited time in half gallon and pint sizes.
