In the main rehearsal room at Texas Metropolitan Ballet school in Killeen, toy soldiers marched in formation as ballerinas swirled in blue and pink dresses and danced with mice in red tunics. It was one of the final rehearsals before the school’s premiere of the holiday classic, “The Nutcracker.”

U.S. Navy veteran Richard Lee Anderson was buried Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Anderson served in the Navy from November 1996 to October 2002 and passed away with no next of kin.
