Man charged with arson

A Killeen man has been arrested and charged with arson in connection with three fires.

At a press conference at the Harker Heights Fire Department, officials announced that Michael Saley, 41, has been charged with arson.

Saley is in the Bell County Jail.

Two of the fires were started in a mobile home on Ball Road in August.

Petco awards grant to Killeen Animal Services

Killeen Animal Services announced Wednesday it has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support funding that will be used to aid the Killeen shelter’s ongoing spay and neuter program and the care of animals that can be entered into the adoption program.
