FORT HOOD — An alert about a possible active threat on post is under investigation by Fort Hood Military Police after investigators confirmed there was no threat, according to the Facebook-verified III Corps and Fort Hood social media page Thursday evening.

The Fort Hood Directorate of Emergency Services responded about 4:45 p.m. to the area of Building 29010 on 67th Street. Some units sheltered in place as a result of the alert.

A social media post about 7 p.m. was labeled “false alarm” and did not provide further information. Some commenters said they were not aware an alert had been sent out.
