FORT HOOD — Fort Hood officials on Tuesday released the name of a soldier found unresponsive Jan. 12 in his barracks room.

Spc. Zackary Phillip Partin, 24, whose home of record is Oakwood, Ill., entered active-duty military service in November 2012 as a radio operator. He was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, since May 2016.

His awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.

Circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation by U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.
