Captain Russell Seager

Seager, of Mount Pleasant , Wisc., was a registered nurse assigned to the 467th Medical Detachment.

He worked as a nurse for the Veterans Administration, helping veterans with post-traumatic stress. He also taught at Milwaukee’s Bryant & Stratton College.

Seager joined the Army Reserves at the age of 47 so he could help soldiers cope with the stress of combat and return to civilian life. He is survived by a wife and son. Seager was 51 at the time of his death.
