He apparently has not denied the charges, but his "defense of others" is nothing less than an admission of guilt. Basically, he is saying, "I did it, but I should be forgiven because I did it in the defense of others." How many Taliban were under attack in that room on 9 November 2009? Oh.. none? Using Hasan's reasoning, we should now kill ALL Muslims, wherever we find them, because the Taliban are Muslims, and the Taliban kill Americans. How monumentally STUPID is that line of reasoning? Yet the Army is entertaining Hasan's request. Proof positive that, "A person who represents himself has a fool for a client." Hasan needs to be tired and fried!

Also add "traitor" to the list. Of course, I haven't seen that word used in a long time, but I think it describes him, along with other words that I won't use in polite company.

So has this latest information reached the White House? Now will they reclassify this as an act of terrorism instead of "workplace violence" so the victims can receive benefits they should have gotten all along? All of this makes me ill.

I love my country and believe that it's the best country in the world. But the way this terrorist's trial has been handled sickens me. And how about giving that O-4 salary this terrorist is still making to the victims' families? I pray that this mockery of military justice ends soon with nothing less than a firing squad for this cowardly moron.

I thought that in order to be protecting somneone or something you had to be right there. Let's get this show on the road and get it over with. Deny this terrorist any and all requests for delay. He's had enough time to prepare for this show. The judge give him another delay will just show that military justice has gone down the toilet. Oh, for military standards to be as they were fifty years ago! [angry]

Is this still being called...Workplace violence?

"Nidal Hasan told a military court Tuesday he was defending the Taliban during the 2009 mass shooting on post."
“Hasan has declared himself an enemy combatant in league with the Taliban."

After Hasan's comments on Tuesday...how can this be anything but Terrorism!
He is a TERRORIST...off with his head.

Premeditated murder should be added to all the counts if it hasn't been included already. It is apparent that his intent in joining the US Army was to ultimately kill American citizens in defense of an enemies of this country.

How long must we wait for justice? I sat in the auditorium next to the killing in terror for my life. Wounded solider was brought inside shouting " He's shooting soldiers man". Now he gets to say he was protecting someone? He is a terrorist and should be treated as such. What make me mad is he is still being paid his salary!!!!!. Enough is enough!!!

what makes me mad is that terrorist is getting top sercuirty for his court hearing. they should give compensation to the victums now since he amited that he did a terroist act. I hope the judge denies him his stall request.
