Police investigate 'shots fired' call at Fort Hood housing area

FORT HOOD — Fort Hood police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Liberty Village late Tuesday night, according to post officials.

"It appears to be an isolated incident and emergency service personnel are currently on the scene evaluating the situation," according to a news release from the Fort Hood Public Affairs Office.

Anyone who has information in relation to this investigation is encouraged to contact the Fort Hood police at 254-287-4001.

There is no current danger to residents or the public. The incident has been resolved and is under investigation by local law enforcement agencies, according to Fort Hood.
