A hearing to determine if a Fort Hood noncommissioned officer will face a court-martial for his alleged role in an on-post “prostitution ring” is slated to begin this morning.

Sgt. 1st Class Gregory McQueen faces 21 charges related to pandering, conspiracy, maltreatment of a subordinate, abusive sexual contact, adultery and conduct of a nature to bring discredit to the armed forces.

Testimony in the December court-martial of another Fort Hood NCO, Master Sgt. Brad Grimes, implicated McQueen as the ringleader in a plan to get young female soldiers to have sex for money.

During Grimes’ court-martial, a female private testified under a grant of immunity she was having financial difficulties when McQueen discussed the possibility of her working as an escort to high-ranking noncommissioned officers, as well as to civilians, who were willing to pay to “hang out” and have sex with low-ranking soldiers.

At the time of the alleged incidents, McQueen was a sexual assault prevention officer with III Corps’ Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion.

Investigative documents from the Army Criminal Investigation Division also showed that another female solider accused McQueen of sexually assaulting her in February 2013.

At today’s hearing, an investigating officer will hear evidence in McQueen’s case, and eventually make a recommendation to the special court-martial convening authority on whether charges should be referred.
