The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery will conduct an unaccompanied veteran burial at noon Thursday for Samuel Stewart, an Army and Vietnam veteran.

Stewart, a Waco resident, served in the Army from December 1964 to December 1966. His discharge paperwork was too worn to be read, according to officials from the funeral home coordinating the services, but indicate he served in aviation.

W.H. Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco has coordinated with the Fort Hood Casualty Office to ensure Stewart will receive military honors.

The Veterans Land Board works with the local community and fellow veteran support groups to ensure no veteran is ever left behind after they die. The Central Texas community is invited to attend.

The cemetery is at 11463 State Highway 195 in Killeen.
