Area businesses plan Veterans Day benefits for veterans and active-duty military on Monday.

At most locations, some form of military ID is required to receive the offer.

Call ahead to verify locations, times and participation.

Area offers include:

  • Applebee’s: Free meals to military veterans and active-service members. Seven entrées to choose from, beverage and gratuity not included.
  • BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse: Complimentary lunch entrée or a one-topping mini pizza for dinner.
  • Chili’s: Choose from six meals between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dine-in only.
  • Denny’s: Free Grand Slam breakfast from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m
  • Golden Corral: Free meal from 4 to 9 p.m.
  • Hooters: Get 10 free wings with a drink purchase.
  • Little Caesars Pizza: Free Crazy Bread.
  • Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin’ Onion and Cokes today and Monday.
  • Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • T.G.I. Friday’s: Buy one, get one free.
  • The Olive Garden: Free entrée from special menu.
  • Home Depot: All active-duty personnel, reservists, retired military, veterans and their families get a 10 percent discount off purchases Monday. The offer is valid on purchases of up to $2,000.
  • Lowe’s: All active, Reserve, honorably discharged, retired military personnel and their immediate family members get a 10 percent discount on in-store U.S. purchases made Monday. The discount is available on in-stock and special order purchases up to $5,000.
  • Amazon.com: Free MP3 album download “Veterans Day Honor.” This free downloadable album includes 12 songs as performed by the military bands and ensembles of the U.S. Armed Forces. Visit Amazon through Monday to download the album for free.
  • Big Lots: 10 percent off entire purchase with valid military ID.
  • Cabela’s: Standard employee discount given to all U.S. military veterans, active-duty military, Guard/Reserves, law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel today and Monday. Discount varies from 5 percent to 20 percent, depending on the item.
  • Dollar General: 10 percent off entire purchase on Monday for all active-duty military, retirees, veterans, Guard/Reserve and immediate family members. Online Monday through Thursday, use Coupon Code VETERANSDAY.
  • 7-Eleven: Free small Slurpee from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sport Clips: Veterans Day national cut-a-thon and Help A Hero program. Sport Clips will donate $1 from every haircut to VFW’s Operation Uplink.
