Man learns to kiteboard at local park

Posted:

Kyle Bradley Jr. practices his kiteboard surfing Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Killeen’s Lions Club Park using his foil kite. Bradley is learning to kiteboard and has been practicing his hand movements to help him better his surfing on South Padre Island during Labor Day weekend. The kite itself is 20 feet wide. A foil kite doesn’t have air bladders. A classic foil kite is made of open cells that breath in air and inflate the kite. Therefore, it can’t get in the water and is used as a beginner kiteboarding kite to train on the beach.
