A 30-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly pointing a handgun at a McDonald’s employee.

Roderick Betha was arraigned on a felony charge of aggravated assault Tuesday.

He was arraigned by Bell County Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke, and his bail was set at $100,000.

According to an arrest affidavit, Betha was seen arguing with employees on Sunday at a McDonald’s restaurant in the 3700 block of Clear Creek Road in Killeen. An employee said Betha left the store, then returned with a handgun and pointed it at him, according to the affidavit. Killeen police arrived on the scene at 1:55 a.m., and found Betha in the parking lot.

The affidavit stated that an officer used a taser on Betha after he failed to comply with orders to get on the ground.

Police searched a vehicle and recovered a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun. The weapon was loaded with 14 rounds, one of which was chambered, according to police.

Kendrick Lamar Robinson, 29, was arraigned Tuesday on an unrelated charge of evading arrest or detention in a vehicle. Cooke set Robinson’s bail at $20,000.
