COPPERAS COVE - Three police agencies arrested four people Oct. 28 while executing a narcotics search warrant. None remained in Coryell County Jail as of Friday.
Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned Christopher Montrellus Brown, Genana Siriluch Hamlin, Melvin Gene Brown and Thomas Earl Pegues on Oct. 29 on various drug possession charges. Guinn set their bonds at $10,000 each.
According to the arrest complaint, the Copperas Cove Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Bell County Organized Crime Unit executed the search warrant at an apartment in the 1200 block South 23rd Street in Copperas Cove.
During the search, police found Christopher and Hamlin asleep in a bedroom and Melvin and Pegues in the living room. Officers also discovered 3.6 grams of cocaine and 13.6 grams of marijuana in the bedroom and almost 1 gram of cocaine in the living room, according to the complaint.
"The cocaine in the living room was loose and on top of a CD movie case between the sofa and loveseat," the complaint stated.
Guinn also arraigned the following:
Christopher William Rose, 22, on Oct. 28, on a charge of evading arrest with a previous conviction. Guinn set his bond at $7,500.
Rebecca Sue O'Brien on Oct. 27, on a charge of assault against an emergency service personnel. Guinn set her bond at $10,000.
Michael Orville Anderson, on Oct. 27, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Guinn set his bond at $10,000.
Brenda Boyd Wheeler, on Nov. 1, on a charge of possession of a dangerous drug, more than 28 grams but less than 200 grams; and possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Guinn set her bonds at $15,000.
