BELTON - A Belton man is accused of attacking his girlfriend with a pair of scissors, leaving her with stab wounds to her wrist and arm.

Jaime Alvarez Cruz, 43, was indicted on an aggravated assault charge, a second-degree felony, by a Bell County grand jury Wednesday.

On Nov. 7, police were dispatched to North East Street in Belton in reference to a domestic disturbance. There they found a woman with cuts on her arms who said Cruz stabbed her. Police located Cruz, who had blood on his shirt, and a pair of scissors with a four-inch blade under the bed. As Cruz was arrested, he yelled at the woman that he was "going to come back and finish her off," according to the arrest affidavit.

A Harker Heights man is accused of robbing three stores at gunpoint in one night.

Man indicted for robbery spree

A grand jury indicted Christopher Bolton, 25, on three counts of aggravated robbery Wednesday.

On Jan. 10, clerks at convenience stores in Killeen and Harker Heights reported a man came in wearing a black hooded sweatshirt holding a black bag with a handgun inside and demanded money and cartons of cigarettes. In Harker Heights, the robber wore blue-tinted glasses.

The next day, a woman reported that her Bryco .380 handgun was stolen. She told police that her son, Bolton, occasionally used the weapon. During the subsequent search of Bolton's room, police found blue-tinted glasses, a black bag, two cartons of cigarettes, and bills with serial numbers matching those stolen from the Killeen store.
