Firefighters responded to a home on fire near the intersection of Joshua Taylor and Lorena drives in Killeen about

3 p.m. Thursday.

The fire started when an 11-year-old boy used a lighter to light some brush on fire along the side of his home, police said. The embers floated through the eaves of the home and started a fire in the attic.

The fire was confined to the attic, and no charges were filed. No injuries were reported.
