A Bell County dog breeder is closing her business and asked Texas Humane Heroes, a private, nonprofit, no-kill animal adoption organization to find forever homes for the remaining 44 animals.

The dogs will be available for adoption beginning at 11 a.m. today at the Killeen Adoption Center, 5501 Clear Creek Road.

Breeds include Chihuahuas, poodles, Shih Tzus, cocker spaniels and schnauzers.

The cost of spaying/neutering, microchipping, vaccinating and caring for each of these dogs is about $200.

To make a donation, go to www.TexasHumaneHeroes.org.

Call 254-526-6200.
