Texas A&M University-Central Texas and the Fort Hood Cultural Resources Management Office are collaborating to recognize Texas Archaeology Month on Thursday at A&M-Central Texas, 1001 Leadership Place, Killeen.

The third annual Archaeology Fair begins at 10 a.m. at the Jarold Katz Courtyard behind Founder’s Hall. Christine Jones, an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, will lead the day’s events including hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations for children and adults.

Events include spear-throwing on the rugby field, rock art and an excavation project for children, artifact exhibits, a Navajo cultural display, flint knapping and food, officials said.
