BELTON — The Bell County Commissioners Court voted to award a bid for four 6- to 8-cubic-yard dump trucks and two 12- to 14-cubic-yard dump trucks to two local vendors at its meeting Monday.

The county will purchase the four smaller trucks from Longhorn International at a price of $76,425 apiece, for a total purchase price of $307,500.

Temple Freightliner will supply the two larger trucks at a cost of $95,369, for a total of $191,278.

The commissioners also voted to authorize the county auditor’s office to advertise for bids on two shredders and two tractors for the road and bridge department.
