Bob Gilmore senior center plans activities this week

The Bob Gilmore Senior Center is hosting the following activities:

“The Croods” starts at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday. Popcorn will be served to all movie-goers.

Covered dish luncheon starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. All October birthdays will be celebrated. Bring a dish to serve six or $5. Clark Buxton and Katie Stine with Cap Tel Telephone and Sonas Medical Supply Life Alert will present “CapTel Captioned Telephone and Two-Way Voice Pendant.”

Free haircuts given from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 21.

Reading music and singing begins at noon Thursdays.

Flu shots given by H-E-B from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 22. The shots are free for Medicare Part B card holders. For all others, the shot is $27. Sign up early at the Bob Gilmore Center.

The senior center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 2205 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Killeen.

Membership is free for people 55 years old and older but you do need to fill out forms. For more information about other activities, call 254-699-1717.
