A boil water notice will take effect at 7 a.m. Friday for 412 and 500 N. Fort Hood St., 505 Utah St., 908 and 1009 Adams Ave., 400 to 411 Wisconsin St., and 425 and 507 Gilmer St. in Killeen.

Hilary Shine, city spokeswoman, said city crews will repair a water valve, which will require water being turned off. She said water service will be interrupted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Shine said once the valve installation is complete, the lines will be flushed and water samples will be tested. She said residents will be notified once the advisory is lifted.
