COPPERAS COVE — In an effort to determine the future of the Boys & Girls Clubs in the city, a meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. today at the library, 501 S. Main St.

The Boys & Girls Clubs have three locations in Cove: at each of the middle schools and at Fairview/Miss Jewell Elementary School. The lease on the elementary school location ends May 31 so that club is looking for a new home.

The Cove Boys & Girls Clubs also need board members, having only two active board members. Eight are needed to retain the clubs’ nonprofit status. Prospective board members and other volunteers must be able to pass a background check.
