September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and a local child is raising money to help.

Elizabeth Stallings hopes to raise $1,500 this year by selling homemade cookies.

She’ll be at New Reflections on the corner of Trimmer and Elms roads in Killeen on Saturday, offering cookies for donations.

Contributions also are accepted at cookiesforkidscancer.org. Search for Liz Stallings.

All money raised goes to pediatric cancer research.
