The Central Texas Memorial Day Ceremony at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery starts at 10 a.m. May 27. Maj. Gen. Anthony R. Ierardi, commander, 1st Cavalry Division, is the guest speaker.

Soldiers from Central Texas and Fort Hood who have lost their lives supporting the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan during 2012 will be honored. A memorial stone will be dedicated at the end of the ceremony to include the names of these fallen soldiers.

Veterans organizations are asked to bring their colors and wreath to the assembly area by 9:30 a.m.
