Challenger files for Gatesville council seat

GATESVILLE — Robert Kent, who ran unsuccessfully for the Gatesville City Council last year, has entered this year’s race, challenging incumbent Barbara Burrow in Ward 1 Place 1.

The only other candidates in the field are incumbents Tim Woodlock, Ward 1 Place 3, and Ronnie Viss, Ward 2 Place 5.

Filing for the Nov. 5 election closed Monday.

Last year, Kent challenged incumbent Ollie Inmon, who was re-elected with 967 votes to Kent’s 792.
