GATESVILLE — The Coryell County Economic Development Board on Monday created a permanent Marketing and Retention Committee to make contact with new and existing businesses to offer the county’s support. Sam Golden will chair the committee, which includes Fred Chavez and County Judge John Firth.

On behalf of the new committee, Firth said he and Gatesville City Manager Roger Mumby will meet today with representatives of Laerdal Texas, formerly Medical Plastics, a Gatesville manufacturing plant that makes medical models for the international corporation.
