GATESVILLE — No one showed up to speak at the second of two public hearings on Coryell County’s proposed 2013 tax rate Tuesday morning.

The proposed rate of 44.9 cents per $100 property valuation is the same as last year’s rate but will increase total tax revenues due to a rise in property valuation.

The commissioners adjourned the hearing after 15 minutes. They will take a final vote on the tax rate and the proposed $12.8 million budget on Sept. 16.
