Coryell County seeks feedback to consider the use of countywide polling places in 2013 elections, which would allow voters to go to any location in the county.

Coryell County must submit an application to the Secretary of State and the U.S. Department of Justice for approval. Before this happens, there will be two public hearings regarding the program: at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Commissioner’s Courtroom, 201 S. Second St. in Gatesville and at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Copperas Cove City Hall, 507 S. Main St. Comments and requests for more information can be directed to County Judge John Firth at (254) 865-5911 or Justin Carothers at (254) 248-3144.

Contact Alexandra Cole at covenews@kdhnews.com or (254) 501-7470.
